Stairs are conduits of chi (energy) at home. They are where chi moves from one level of the home to another. When your stairs have good feng shui it distributes good fortune to the rest of the home. But when it has bad feng shui it spreads harmful energy causing misfortune, robbery, illness, loss of money.

1. The top and bottom landing of staircases should never face the main door.

2. Do not locate your stairs in the middle of the home

3. Do not place a spiral staircase especially the one that resemble a corkscrew, they are especially harmful when they are located in the middle of the home (when looking at the plan).

4. Stairs should never start or end in front of the toilet.

5. Should never have holes in the steps.

6. Stairs must be solid.

7. They should be well lit.

8. They should not be too narrow. The best are the ones that 2 people can easily walk together side by side.

9. Best staircases are wide and curving.

10. Do not keep anything important under the staircase.
